The Central New Jersey Computer Science Education Hub will carry out a series of Secondary, 6-12 NJ Essentials Workshops, with sessions directly aligned to the NJSLS-CS. This Secondary NJ Essentials Workshop will focus on the Networks and the Internet disciplinary concept of the NJSLS-CS. This workshop is being led by Jeremy Milonas, a Computer Science teacher at Red Bank Regional HS.  He has taught a wide range of computing subjects including Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics.  Jeremy has helped lead GenCyber Jersey Blues Summer Camp and has been part of the CSNJ Advocacy Committee. In 2015 Jeremy was the NJ Air Force Associations Teacher of the Year and in 2022 won the National CyberPatriot Coach of the Year award. 

You will receive a stipend of $300 upon completion of the workshop.

You will learn the basic networking concepts to get you started in the classroom.  Topics will include the different computer parts, different networking devices and their use, and networking protocols. These lessons are from the Garden State Cyber Curriculum.

Classroom location on TCNJ's campus for this workshop will be announced as the workshop approaches - Prior to the workshop, please familiarize yourself with the campus map: https://tcnj.edu/about/campus-info/campus-map/. Lunch is not provided, however there is a Campus Town at TCNJ's campus with many lunch options, including Panera Bread, Starbucks within TCNJ's Barnes and Noble, Yummy Sushi, and Jersey Mike's.
